UI/UX Design Internship
In this position, you will be expected to share your knowledge of UI/UX Design and collaborate with multiple people on our team. While unpaid, college credit can be awarded if enrolled in university/college.
Duties and Responsibilities
UI/UX interns are expected to support the upkeep of our website and app development. Creating and updating the website’s content as well as facilitating product visions by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences, is a regular part of the internship. Interns are also anticipated to help with programming, coding, analytics, troubleshooting, and more. Attending training and other meetings based on work-related affairs is necessary in order to continue your own research to further any tech-related knowledge. Communicating with other team members along with collaborating with other social justice-focused businesses is important to NB. Interns should also assist in creating emails, other marketing campaigns, and content calendars. Most importantly, making your own schedule and including deadlines will help with completing all of the above.
Requirements and Qualifications
Proficient Google Drive skills
A solid appreciation of art, beauty and a keen sense of aesthetics to drive design innovation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed and able to work without supervision
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
A strong interest in design
Experience working with Squarespace and Figma (preferred)
