With the rise in interest in the true crime world, the question becomes, what are the best true crime podcasts to listen to? Here, I have broken down my top favorite true crime podcasts and where to listen. 

Morbid

Morbid is a podcast that has been going on for just over five years. The co-hosts of this show are Alaina Urquhart and Ash Kelley, an aunt and niece combo. The podcast has 492 episodes as of September 8th, 2023. The cases they follow include true crime, paranormal, and listener write ins. This podcast is perfect for you if you enjoy a little bit of dark humor and quite a bit of banter. You can listen to Morbid on any platform. 

Murder With My Husband

Murder With My Husband is led by a wife and husband combo. The co-hosts are Payton and Garrett Moreland. Payton loves true crime and tells the stories while Garrett knows absolutely nothing about the cases his wife tells him. This podcast has less banter than Morbid, but there is the bonus of having someone’s perspective who doesn’t have a preconceived notion about what happened. There are currently 162 episodes out on all listening platforms. 

Bed Crime Stories

Bed Crime Stories is a newer podcast that had come out in recent years. The co-hosts Charile and Jovie have been best friends for 25 years. The two offer up some funny banter accompanied with the gruesome facts of many true crime cases. Along with the older cases, they also cover new true crime headlines in real time. They take turns every other episode telling the stories they researched. You can listen to Bed Crime Stories on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Pocket Casts, RadioPublic, and Copy RSS. 

Morning Cup of Murder

Morning Cup of Murder is the perfect short podcast that releases an episode every day. Korina Biemesderfer is the writer and host of Morning Cup of Murder. The episode lengths average between 5-10 minutes long. The episode topic correlates with the date that it is uploaded, so each episode goes back in time to tell what happened on that day in true crime history. This podcast is perfect for a run to the store, your drive to work, or even while you’re cleaning up around the house. This podcast is available on all listening platforms.
